The New-York Historical Society offers Gilder Lehrman Saturday Academy, a free,
6-week program for students in grades 8–12 that offers courses on American history.
It also provides free SAT prep for students in grades 10-12 who register for a history class.
This spring, the classes take place the following Saturdays: March 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, and April 5, 2014.
Each class is offered at two times (the 1st from 10-11:30 am and the 2nd from 11:40 am to 1 pm.) Students
can take up to two of the following courses: One Hundred Years Ago: America from 1912-1918, Protest Music
the Rocked the Nation, Living in Scandalous Times: Dark Moments in History, and SAT Prep.
All classes take place at the New-York Historical Society,
170 Central Park West (at 77th Street).
I have notified my parents of my intention to attend Saturday Academy,
and I have obtained their permission to do so. I understand that I must
bring the signed release forms to the first session in order to continue
my participation in the Saturday Academy program. The release forms will
be sent to the e-mail address provided in registration before March 1.
I understand that I must attend all Saturday Academy Sessions to
receive a Certificate of Participation. Only one excused absence is permitted.
