Experience the evolution of John James Audubon’s dazzling watercolors of the birds of America, displayed in the order in which they were created. Through this workshop, teachers will become familiar with inquiry-driven techniques as they increase their content knowledge of 19th-century American history and culture. Learn about how Audubon developed his signature depictions and innovative cataloging of America’s birds as well as the personal story behind this legendary naturalist-artist. Participants will receive a digital collection of Audubon images to bring into the classroom. Pizza will be served.
